Wabanaki Tea bowls

By November 15, 2018 No Comments

I did a commission for the Traditional Chief of the Passamaquoddy Nation for teabowls with the double-curve motif.  I designed these understanding the ten thousand year old clay pieces found that were used by this tribal people… the double-curve motif is found on artifacts of all the Nations belonging to the Wabanaki Confederacy, the Passamaquoddy being one of those nations.  It was commissioned for the celebration whereby the Canadian Government officially recognized the Passamaquoddy as a nation living within the boundaries of Canada.
